Edaravone, an intravenous drug, is used for treating:

  • Recovery after stroke (when cells die due to poor blood circulation in brain)
  • Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a disease which results in the death of neurones responsible for control of voluntary muscles.

Some of the common side effects of Edaravone are:

  • Bruising, eczema, skin inflammation

  • Headache,
