Indigo  is used in the treatment of following conditions:

  • Jaundice, abdominal diseases, ear infections, leucorrhoea, arthritis, fever, liver diseases, wounds, insect bites, cold, sore throat, influenza, laryngitis.
  • Sore nipples
  • Infections of sinus passages and nasal passages.
  • Skin ulcers.

Indigo  is mostly safe, but in some cases (or over dose), it may cause:

  • Nausea, vomiting
  • Diarrhoea
  • Respiratory paralysis
  • Tachycardia
