1.       What are business development opportunities with SOM?

If you are a doctor, hospital, path lab/ diagnostic centre, drug supplier, health supplements supplier or supplier of medical devices, you can register with us a service provider and the following options are available for each category:

2.       How can I register on SOM?

To register on SOM, you should have a registered firm. When you visit our website SaveOnMedicals.Com, click on register. You will get an option to register as ‘Service Provider’. Click on the link and fill the registration form. Field marked with * are mandatory. You will receive a verification SMS on your mobile. Fill that verification number and submit the registration form. Your account will be created immediately. However, your services/ product shall be uploaded on our website only after approval by the company.

After approval, you will be given a vendor id/ code, which shall be used between the site and vendor for all future correspondence.

You can choose any of the options available category-wise as mentioned above.

After, we approve your registration with the site, your account would be activated and you can upload your products and start selling.


3.       What is ‘Directory listing’ service?

This service is available only for hospitals/ clinics and Path labs/ diagnostic centres. In directory listing, your name, address, contact details and services shall be published on our website and our registered users can see your details and can contact your directly.


4.       How do I receive payment for sale through SOM?

All the money paid online shall be collected by SaveOnMedicals.Com. Accounts of each vendor shall be settled on monthly basis and money shall be transferred to vendor’s account after deducting amount payable to SOM including any dues on COD sales.


5.       Can I add/ delete products/ services that I wish to list?

Yes, you can add/ delete any number of items.


6.       Is there any limit on number of items/ services I can list?

There is no limit on number of products you can upload on our website. The commission will be charged by the website on products sold only.


7.       Is it compulsory to provide CST no/ VAT no./ Service tax no. etc?

Yes. You can’t register with the site without providing CST/ VAT no. in case you are a supplier of any product. For a doctor/ path lab/ diagnostic centre, it is mandatory to give service tax no. It is illegal to sell any product/ service without having an appropriate tax no.


8.       Is it compulsory to have registered firm to sell/ advertise on SoM?

Yes, to register as service provider/ seller, you must have a registered firm. It is illegal to sell any product/ service without having a registered firm.


9.       Can I sell on SoM if I do not have a website?


it is not compulsory to have a website of your own. SoM provides you an excellent opportunity to reach potential customers online without you investing in technology.


10.   Can I advertise on SoM?

Yes, you can advertise on SoM via banner advertising. You can give us the products details, price and picture. Our team shall create 2-3 options of banners for the product, take your approval of final design and upload it on the site.


Banner ads are paid ads for which the payment has to be made 100% in advance. Rates of banner ad depend upon various factors like size of banner, frequency of display and duration of advertisement etc. Details can be shared with you, once you express your interest to advertise with us either through phone or through email or website query.

11.   Is there any monthly subscription fee?

There is no subscription fee during the initial promotional period for any product seller or service provider.

12.               Can I talk to anyone about selling on SoM?

Listing on is free. You will be charged only after a product is sold through us. Following are the charges exclusive of any delivery / logistics charges which would depend on the model chosen by you:

14.               Can I cancel my subscription?

You are free to cancel anytime. If you have signed up for any time bound contract, you can cancel any time after the expiry of contract. 

For product sellers only:


15.   What is ‘Drop Shipping with SOM’?

Drop Shipping with SOM is a service where our courier partners would be engaged for delivery of goods from your premises to the customers, at a preferred rate to you. The packaging cost in this instance is borne by the vendor. However, SOM will provide the outer packing sheet / material for their consumption.


17.   How does the whole process of selling on SoM work?

a.       You register as vendor with SoM.

b.      After your account is created& activated, you will be guided by our team on how to upload a product using our CMS. You can access the same after logging into SaveOnMedicals.Com. You can upload as many products as you want on our website. However, any product which is not in your immediate stock should not be uploaded.

c.       Potential customers see your products and place order.

d.      The customer can pay online or opt for CoD.

e.      The irder gets reflected into your SaveOnMedicals (Seller’s Account) panel.

f.        You / SOM deliver to customer.

g.       We pay you on monthly basis for all products sold through us after deducting amount payable to us.

h.      If more orders are under Cash on delivery option, then you need to pay us our due amount on monthly basis.


18.   How can I upload my products on SoM?

It’s easy to list your products on SoM. Once you’ve registered to start selling online use the Web-based tools.

19.               How do I list my products on SoM?

You can use our Web-based interface or our bulk listing tools to list your products. The procedure and information required will vary depending on whether your products are already in the SoM catalogue. ?If your products already exist in our catalogue?You can easily list them one by one using our Web-based interface. To do so, you only need to provide the name of the product, the price and your available stock. Alternatively, if you have a large number of products, you may use one of the following methods.

a.       You may use XLS based inventory files for bulk uploading of products.


For each new product, you will have to provide product information, including:

a.                          UPC code

b.                          Product title

c.                           Product description

d.                          Image of the product

e.                          Price

f.                           Available stock

g.                          Discount on the product if any

h.                          Transportation charges

i.                            Cash on Delivery charges

Please note that cerain product categories might require additional information to list your products.

20.               How do I manage my orders on

You can log in into your account with SOM and download a summary of the orders you have received. This includes customer and shipping information so you can fulfil those orders.

21.   What products can I sell on SoM?

You can sell items in the following categories:

i)        OTC drugs

ii)       Health supplements

iii)     Medical devices and accessories

iv)     Sexual Wellness Products


22.   Who bears the cost of delivery?

For single order below Rs. 500/- from same vendor, the delivery charges shall be borne by the customer. However, for a single order above Rs. 500/- from same vendor, ideally the delivery to customer should be free. If you still wish to charge, you can mention delivery charges along with each product. If a customer has ordered multiple items, the highest delivery charges from the order list shall be applicable.


23.    If I list my products using SoM, will the customer know that he or she is purchasing from me on SoM marketplace?

We will clearly indicate on our product detail pages and offer listing pages that the product is sold by you and the invoice will carry your name.


24.   Who is responsible for servicing the warranty?

The seller is responsible to service all the products sold under warranty.


25.   What is the return policy for sold items?

Please see return policy on customer page.


26.   What happens if a customer doesn’t take delivery of CoD order?

The product shall be delivered back to you and applicable delivery charges shall be borne by you.

27.   What happens if a customer doesn’t take delivery of pre-paid item?

The amount shall be refunded to customers after deducting bank transaction charges. Pl. see cancellation policy on customer FAQ page for further details.

Doctors/ labs:

1.       How can I register on SoM?

To register on SoM, you should have a registered clinic/firm. When you visit our website, click on register. You will get an option to register as ‘Service Provider’. Click on the link and fill the registration form. Field marked with * are mandatory. You will receive a verification SMS on your mobile. Fill that verification number and submit the registration form. Your account will be created immediately. However, your services/ product shall be visible on our website only after approval by the company.

You can choose any of the three options available category-wise as mentioned above.

After, we approve your registration with the site, your account will be approved and created. You can start listing your products/ services by logging into ‘My’ panel.


2.       How can I update my information?

You can simply log in and go to ‘My’ and update your information.


3.       Can I register on SoM if my clinic/ lab is not registered?

No, you can’t. It is illegal to practice without having your clinic/ hospital/ lab registered legally.


4.       Can a patient book appointment online thru SoM?

Yes. You can give your own schedule (your working hours and days) which will be displayed on our site. The patient can book appointment online for which the information will be sent to you on your registered email id. 

5.       How do I receive the confirmation/ information about appointments booked online?

You will be given be given email confirmation as soon as the appointment is booked online through our site.


6.       How do I receive payment if patient has made advance payment through site?

Accounts with all doctors/ labs shall be settled on monthly basis after deducting SoM commission and money shall be transferered in your bank account.

7.       What is the refund policy if patient doesn’t turn up for appointment?

If the patient reschedules the appointment, the money paid online shall be adjusted there. However, if the customer cancels the appointment for which online payment has already been made, full refund would be made to the customer after deducting bank transaction charges. The transaction would not be counted for payment purposes as far as the service provider is concerned.


8.       What are general terms and conditions for doctors/ labs?


a.       The doctor should be qualified and hold the required degree from a recognized college/ institute. The doctor is duly registered with the Medical Council of India and has to provide the doctor registration number of MCI.

b.      The clinic/ path lab/ diagnostic centres should be registered legally to practice/ carry out tests.

c.       If doctor/ lab/ diagnostic centres is found to be indulging in any illegal activities, the site has rights to cancel the registration as well as subscription of the concerned party.


9.       Can customers leave feedback and why is customer feedback important?

Yes. Customers can leave feedback. Maintaining a high feedback rating is a critical factor for success on SoM. It’s the best way for customers to identify you as a trustworthy seller. Your rating appears on the Offer Listing Page and is one of the first things that customers see. In other marketplaces, we have observed that customers are more likely to purchase products from sellers with higher ratings.
